Snowy landscapes

In 2024, my brother and I went snowboarding in the Alps. First it was Zermatt (Switzerland), then Vogel (Slovenia) and then Cortina d'Ampezzo, with our final ride in Tarvisio (Italy). During this trip and when snowboarding I had a GoPro Hero 12 with me to take some snapshots of various locations.

A risky bet for a new camera

I had used a Samsung NX1 for a long time, but it was time for an upgrade. My father had acquired a used Sony Alpha A7R III (ILCE-7RM3) from an auction whose owner (I suspect) had left it in the rain. The sensor had dried up mineral spots all over the place and it even had a scratch on it. I cleaned up the sensor to the best of my abilities and with some software healing tools you can still get some high quality images out of it.
